General

  • Document student learning for formative assessment. Use the built-in microphone to record student thinking. Share files with specialists, other educators, or parents.
  • Conduct a quiz / test -- ask students to identify a specimen or parts of a specimen.
  • Make student-created multimedia presentations.
  • Improve cooperation and social skills as students work together in groups.

 

Early Childhood and Special Needs

  • Observe and explore objects from our natural world, including our own bodies, such as skin or hair.
  • Use the built-in microphone as students describe and compare an object's attributes by using basic adjectives, color and size words, etc.
  • Draw a picture to recreate an image or color in parts of a printed image to highlight parts of a specimen.
